UO Mondains Legacy or UO Samurai Empire is now required to play on Burstfire UO. This upgrade means a lot of good things, such as new items, a lot less crashing, etc - but upgrading may cause problems. If you have trouble installing ML, please read this thread - and reply if you need additional help.

Problem:
Mega tyrano reported this bug: He could log in, but once he did and opened his journal the screen turned to something like this:

Possible solution: This bug appeard in the testing phase and should be resolved now. Upgrade to the newest client using the autopatch (UOPatch.exe). Another simple solution that seem to work for everybody is to simply create a open/close journal macro, and this will not appear again (thanks Atticus).


Problem:
You get automaticly disconnected when you log into the game. This is proboably because you are using the wrong client. Use only client 2.0.3.

Possible solution:
1. You need to delete the patch data for Burstfire UO in your uog folder.
I installed UO Gateway to C:\Games\Ultima Online\UO Gateway, therefore I have got a folder called C:\Games\Ultima Online\UO Gateway\uog. In this folder, the uog folder, there are one folder for each shard - containing patch data. You need to DELETE either the entire uog folder (100% safe) or just the one for BFUO.
2. Starts the game using UO Gatweway again (patches will download automaticly).
In the UO Gateway main window you REMOVE Burstfire UO from your shard list, and readd it. Once you hit 'play on Burstfire UO' the patches will download automaticly.
3. How do I know it's correctly done?
When the game starts - the client should show its version, wich should be "Client ver 2.0.3". If you have the wrong client version, make SURE you did all steps correctly, or simply download client 2.0.3 and add it to your bfuo folder manually.

One thing I've noticed is that if you're lagging round houses, there is an option to CACHE the houses in the client. This option is in "OPTIONS » UO (the symbol)" Scroll down to the bottom and you will see an option called "Store Houses on Client". Up this value to the max.

If you have Installed ML, removed the old patch and repatched and all and you still are being disconnected after 2-3 seconds it might be your firewall.
I had that problem and I simply "removed the client from allowed programs and re-added it"
Works perfectly for me now.

FOr the journal problem make a close journal macro when you open it again its perfect
