Ive heard from two people who actually got this, if you have 2 characters with the same name you can have one of them renamed for free. Is this correct? Just wondering

shouldnt be.. or we will create a char with another guys nick and start messing around, backstabs etc.. and next rename for free.. i dont think ppl like to have a nick = to another one

I think its +/- like this: if 2 active players got the same name the most recent one gets a free rename.

Well cink had two characters by that name on his account. Both chars was skilled and had atleast 6gm skills each. One of them was renamed for free. Thats what I'd like to know about.

thats easely understandable... try to have 2 chars with the same name in the same account... with the crash problem we have on login... you would be like 10min trying to login (since it crashes) another 10min trying to login with the right character.

1) Not if your specialy create another char named as the one you want to rename, since you want to spare 1 mil.
2) Mostly, rename means just fixing it so it woudnt mix. Like One of Arkos would be called "Arkos 1"

As Pete so cleverly figured out long ago, you can incognito before you log out to differentiate between the two. Right after I started I made a char named Carpe and was offered a free name change, so it has happened. However, if you're making a character with the sole intention of trying to get a rename then you have probably shot yourself in the foot, and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on it.
