this raises the question: why is razor not allowed?

It can be used to automate healing and stuff in pvp, although this *can* be done in uomcro its not as simple.. It also has some other features which would probably ruin the gameplay.. its more suited to servers which do not use real time pvp like bfuo does =[

you can set spells to be cast when hp < Xamount and same for mana and stamina.
you can prevent yourself dismounting your own steed when in war mode (would be unfair on those who dont use it anyway)

yin made a script in uo autopilot just like that, and wig said it was all legal

If you d/click yourself when fighting on a steed, by accident, it wont dismount you like it should do

my computer sucks, then. everytime i used razor-based actions in a razor-legal uo shard, i'd lag a bit (one time i was stealthing and used my dress-ar macro (coz u can only stealth with <15 ar). not only did i lag, but also got discovered because of the noise the ar makes when you equip it lol).

also, isn't the house door delay messed up anyway? Maybe razor's liability should be reviewed. I think making the shard razor-legal would make it a bit more atractive for new players

You must be really dumb, if you used Razor and you couldn't find anything abusive on it. Guess I will have to highlight it for you to help you thinking



I just feel sorry that you failed to see the obvious.

How can the buy agent be abusive? Npc's atm sell infinite ammounts of the stuff they sell. Instead of spamming "bank buy guards bank" and shift+click anything on a vendor, you press a key and get what you need faster. the organizer agent is actually pretty useful

The corpse thing went under my radar, but that's not an insta-loot script. you still have to drag everything on the corpse to your backpack.

the hotkeys, like i said, aren't that different from yin's script, which was considered legal. also the new clients have a "bandage self" macro

the actions part is like uoautopilot. granted you can set a hotkey for wtv action you scripted, but right now i can't think of anything "bad" that you haven't already pointed out. Maybe i'm being blinded by the good times i had on a razor-legal shard to look at it objectively.

the "show bloodmoss, etc" thing is also avaliable on uoassist, which is legal on bfuo. Or maybe, once again, i'm being stupid. I don't have uoassist with me atm, so i can't confirm it... uoassist or uomacro, i dunno which :x but it's an alternative to typing ".regs" "i must consider my sins" all the time.

I see razor as a tool that spares me a lot of time. Maybe that's the problem? I know, i know... "speedhacking is a tool that spares me a lot of time. let's make it legal too!" but it's different. You can't speedhack with razor*. And i'm not even asking to make razor legal. I'm just trying to understand why it's illegal. The way I dumbly see it, razor is a tool that buys you stuff faster, makes you drink pots faster, warns you about the ammount of regs you have in your pack and opens corpses that are near you. I know it sounds stupid but i really can't see a problem with that. I'm sorry but this is the help forum and i need help understanding why razor is illegal. I'm not gonna preach on the rest of the forums how useful or unabusive razor is, i garantee you that.

Also don't worry. I'm too much of a pussy to be using razor illegally on this shard

*or... maybe what i'm saying IS speedhacking and i got it all wrong? Correct me if i'm wrong, but speedhacking is related with the spell times, healing time and stuff like that, right?
